The New York Times

Ad Campaign, Brand Identity, Submitted for The One Club For Creativity Young Ones Competition, 2020

Brief

In politically divided times, it can be difficult to know which news source to trust. The New York Times pride themselves in reporting news from around the world, without having an alternative motive or a political agenda.

Challenge

The New York Times has remained dedicated to their reliable and unbiased reporting since 1851. Demonstrate The New York Times' informative, and
truthful reputation in a candid, but straightforward, manner.

Solution

Showcase The New York Times in a way that reassures viewers of their trustworthiness, even in uncertain or politically divided times. Present the message in environments that are opportunistic for grabbing an audience's attention.

New York Times Wide Billboard Mockup
New York Times print ad mockup up on framed signs inside of a subway tunnel. There are 3 panels total. The left panel says "They said." written over and over again with a red background. The center panel says "Perspective is subjective. Facts are not. The New York Times, trusted to report the truth since 1851." The right panel says "They said." over and over again with a blue background. The message of this group of posters is to reassure readers that the New York Times is determined to report the truth, despite political division among The Left and The Right.
